The Truth

I believe we all have a purpose in life and that purpose is to express the highest version of who we are. Whoever we are deep down, beneath the labels, beneath the expectations, beneath the fear. Our true selves…Our truth.

The. Truth.

What makes our purpose unique is our story. It’s our experiences, it’s what we’ve learnt on our journey, it’s what we’ve been through and who we can help because of that.

Consider this for a moment…you might have joined up to this Hump Day Hoorah because there was something about my story that is similar to yours. Let’s see…

What is it for you?

Is it that you want to change your life? Go vegan? Get out of debt? Get over depression? Move to the sea? Start vlogging? Launch an online course or build a community? Maybe you love Tony Robbins like I do (hehe massive fan) or maybe you just love dogs? Or cherry scones haha.

Is it that you want to quit your job and build your own company? Maybe you want to be a coach? Is it that you’re from the North East? Or also went to boarding school?

Do you like affirmation cards and use words like ‘The Universe’…maybe not out loud with friends but you believe in that ‘stuff’ right? Just a little?

I’d love to know what it is that made you want to sign up. Because I’ve got a theory…

I believe you’re in the DARETOGROW community because you’ve been through something I’ve been through. Or you’re going through something I’ve been through. Or you want to face something I’ve faced? Or, you just like that I use the language you love…online…out loud!?

** Did she just do an affirmation card live on Facebook?! No. Did she just say ‘The Universe’ and ‘Law of Attraction’ our loud, ‘did she just say quantum leaping?! Who is she?! **

I’d love to know if that’s right. I could be way off? Maybe take a second to hit reply and let me know what attracted you to DARETOGROW.

Because this is why it matters…

Our purpose is to express ourselves, right? The highest version of who we are, right? What makes that purpose unique is our story, right? People connect to people because they share a similar story; they have things in common, right?

Because I’m connected to you and I’ve been through something you’re experiencing, I might be able to teach you something or share something with you that can help, right?

Well doesn’t this mean, too, that there is ALSO a group of people out there you can help, because of your experiences, because of what you’ve been through. And maybe they’re out there right now waiting for the exact help you can provide?

Maybe?

After all, you don’t have to know it all to help someone: you just have to be one step further ahead, right?

You see, I’m not the only coach, speaker, vlogger out there. Fair to say? And I’m not the only one with an Online Course.

But I’m the only one with my story, my unique blend of experiences, my style, my particular (AMAZING!!!!!) community, right?

And that’s the same for you.

It doesn’t even matter if you have a business or online community or not. Everyone you meet could be someone you could help. Just by being you, just because of what you know.

But here’s the kicker…

The reality is that many of us never tap into our purpose: we never reach our full potential because we’re so worried about what other people think of us and what the world needs of us. We become who ‘they’ want us to be and not who we’re destined to be.

And we never share our story because we’re embarrassed about it. We’re embarrassed that we’re in debt, or scared to fail or we were treated a certain way, or we suffer from depression.

Trust me, I know!!

And so we never get to help those people that we’re here to help.

Do you see where I’m going with this?

I just want to plant a thought in your mind. Well, more of a question and it’s this:

Who could you help by stepping more into your purpose and sharing more of your truth; your story? If only you believed in yourself. If you saw your true worth. If you dared to grow.

Because we all have a purpose and that purpose is to express ourselves: our higher selves. But we can’t do that when we’re trying to please people or tick a box or play it safe.

Nahhh.

We need to get a little down a dirty.

We need to share something personal…

We need to tell the truth. About who we are. About what want. About what we’ve been through.

And that, my friends, is the bravest, hardest most BADASS thing we can do.

Right?

I guarantee you right now that the people you love and respect the most are being themselves. They shared their story and they didn’t stand in it…the stood ON IT. They owned it and they used it to help you, to inspire you.

Am I right? Honestly, tell me. It’s a theory I’m working with.

Now, you’re going to have one of a few reactions to this message:

(1) Holy cow she’s bang on!! She just spoke to my soul. That’s what I need to do, I’m ready to share my truth.

OR

(2) She’s so right but I ain’t ready!! I think I’ll just watch the vlogs for now…slow down girl!!

OR

(3) What is she on about…**unsubscribes **

If you’re number 3, you never made it this far. LOL. Did you?!

If you’re number 2, I’m so glad you’re here and I’d love to know if there’s a topic I can cover in a vlog for you. Hit reply and let me know. I’m here to help you express your truth. This is what DARETOGROW is all about. I wouldn’t be here if not for you.

If you’re number 1, then I’ve got an invitation for you and it’s this: I want you to seriously consider DARETOGROW / The  Online Course. I built it FOR YOU. To give you the space, the exercises and the community to go within the ask those questions: who are you and who are you here to help? What does your soul crave and how can you build a life around that? What are you here to do and how can you get started on that journey today?

If it’s not for you, that’s okay. I’m glad you’re here. But if you’re tempted. Take a moment this evening, with a hot cuppa, to read through the units on the enrolment page, to watch the testimonials and to ask: where could I be this time next year if I DARETOGROW today?

P.s. The picture? This is me moments before I stepped into my truth. Moments before I admitted who I was. Moments before I shared my story. Moments before I dared to grow. And I am so grateful to that woman; that version of me. And I’m grateful for you: exactly who you are right now in this moment, considering this email, considering your purpose.
