[VLOG 184] Amsterdam’s Light Festival 2019

If this doesn’t make you want to visit Amsterdam, I don’t know what will! Late in the afternoon, just as the sun was setting on the busy city, we took to the waterways in an open boat to be guided through the twinkly festive illuminations. And it was magical!

Each year, hundreds of submissions are submitted by designers, architects and artists from around the world. 30 artworks are then chosen to feature in the festival and the outcome is INCREDIBLE!!

The theme for this year’s edition was ‘the medium is the message’.

It was fab hopping on the boat and seeing the scuptures from the water as we’d seen them earlier in the week by foot.

Truly the highlight of our Amsterdam trip.
